Why paint and label my equiptment.
When ever Passion Pool Care does a major install of a pool filter or replumbs a header (The header is all the above ground plumbing by your equiptment.) we paint and label the equiptment because its the right thing to do. Our customers take pride in their homes, their yards, their pools and it just "ain't" right to go to their equiptment area and see a nasty twisted confusing combination of plumbing and pool equiptment. It's like seeing a dirty Yugo parked in front of a million dollar home.
Are there benefits to painting the equiptment besides aesthetics?
Yes. It will save you money. The paint we use will protect your equiptment from the suns harmful UV rays. Over-expossure to the UV rays will prematurely wear and damage your plumbing to the extent that it will create leaks and the need in some cases to totaly replace your header. Big bucks!
Are there benefits to labeling my equiptment?
Yes. This can save you money in that it will help prevent costly repairs caused by accidental damage to your equiptment. The way some pools are plumbed, if just one valve is turned the wrong way a pool owner can "dead head" their system. (Dead Heading is when you direct the water flow toward a closed path. When this happens, the water has to go somewhere and where it goes usually leaks or breaks!)
